Used furniture gives us so many opportunities to express our creative side and re-purpose furniture that isn’t quite ready to be disposed of. Color, textures, designs – whatever we choose to do to a piece, once we decide, we are making it ours. We love to have diy’ers come in and pick through our large collection of used furniture. We’re happy to give advice and make suggestions that encourage our customers to make the right choice about a piece for themselves. Budget, space and ability all factor in to someone’s decision when considering a piece.
But not everyone has the time or inclination to overhaul a piece of furniture. This sad little dresser in the before picture had been tucked away in a corner, wholly ignored and not looking like it would be snatched up any time soon. Into our work area it went. All it needed was a little care, a couple of coats of paint, some new hardware and a fun whimsical design to perk it up and make it ready for someone who may not be a diy’er but needs an affordable little dresser or nightstand with storage.
We encourage anyone who comes into Deja Vu Furniture that they can create their perfect piece from something so imperfect with a little care and attention to the details of whatever they dream up. All they have to do is come with an idea, an open mind and a little imagination. We can supply the piece and we even have tape measures! But if you aren’t looking for a ‘do it yourself’ project, we also have finished pieces that may just be what you’re looking for.
